Photo Blogging Challenge: March 2014’s theme is…
One year already?
In March of 2013, I was looking for ways to pass time and think about something else, other than a job search. So my goal was to come up with something fun that I could do with blogging.
Hence this challenge was born.
Since that time, we’ve had several people stick with it for the long haul, others have come and gone, but it’s been fun each month. Hopefully, it will continue.

30 Minus 2 Days of Writing: And then my brain exploded (28/28)
Two and a half years is a long time, if you think about it.
A real long time.
Imagine all the things you can do in that amount of time? But, when you are unemployed for that long, it becomes quite repetitive.
Find jobs. Apply. Find jobs. Apply. Fix resume. Tweak cover letters. Find jobs. Apply. Find jobs. Apply.
If you’ve never gone through this, consider yourself lucky.
I used to do everything I…
Photo Blogging Challenge (February 2014): Red
I am going to be fully honest here — I didn’t take many red images in February.
The reality was this — there was a lot of white.
And it was cold.
So I’m stretching it a little here. Hopefully spring is coming soon. That will mean out with the camera and shooting again, not just using the iPhone.
Without further delay, here’s my five. Not the greatest, but I did what could to meet the deadline.
30 Minus 2 Days of Writing: How did you find out? (27/28)
I we prepare to let the sun set on this challenge for another year, I think back.
Oh do I think back. And I wonder – how did I find out?
The recollection of how I originally ended up at We Work for Cheese escapes me. It’s probably something my memory is trying to block out.
But I ended up there. And as I looked through the irrational and crazy prose on that site, I came across the writing…
30 Minus 2 Days of Writing: Naked and lost (26/28)
Have you ever had one of those dreams where you’re nekkid and in the middle of a crowd?
Yeah, I thought so.
I am sure there is some subconscious thing about it, too. But why always in a crowd? How come it can’t be sitting in a natural spring somewhere, cold beer in hand?
Most of the time, the place is unfamiliar, too. It’s like I am somewhere totally out if the realm of normality.
Well, we know…
30 Minus 2 Days of Writing: Social Media (25/28)
Can we get serious for a moment, folks?
Though I am sure it’s a tough thing for some of those in this challenge to do, I will get serious. Well, to an extent.
This theme is quite interesting as it gives you a chance to speak (write) about something that is extremely relevant in the world today – social media. The best part is I’ve had an idea for a post in my head for a long time – and this gives…
30 Minus 2 Days of Writing: And then she said (24/28)
We’re in the final week of this challenge.
And, as much as I truly do like this annual event, I am ready for the end. Not that I might not continue posting daily, but this really gets to your mind when you are doing the challenge.
The themes. Some of these are things that I never would use to write. And while that is great for challenging your writing chops, it’s also a way for frustration…
